Natan – Dichroic & Optical Glass Sculpture
Natan - meaning "He gave", traditionally associated with giving and generosity. Interestingly, Natan is also a palindrome, reading the same forwards and backwards. This beautiful symmetry is reflected in the sculpture's geometric composition, where mirrored shapes, intersecting angles, and reflections create a fascinating sense of balance and harmony.
Natan is a captivating, handcrafted glass sculpture that combines intricate geometry, extraordinary transparency, and a mesmerizing interplay of light and color.
Its distinctive, multifaceted form features beautifully beveled corners and precisely polished surfaces, resembling a precious gemstone. Within its crystal-clear exterior lies a fascinating arrangement of geometric shapes, layered planes, and intersecting angles that appear to float in space.
Carefully positioned optical and dichroic glass elements create brilliant flashes of turquoise, electric blue, emerald green, golden yellow, fiery orange, and magenta. As light passes through the sculpture, these colors shift and transform, revealing unexpected reflections and remarkable depth.
Just like its palindromic name, Natan invites exploration from different directions. Each perspective reveals new compositions, while recurring shapes and reflections create a visual dialogue between symmetry and transformation.
Both elegant and intriguing, Natan celebrates the beauty of light, precision, and the endless possibilities hidden within glass.
